A couple months ago, I purchaced the "World of Need for speed" pack
which includes
Need for Speed: High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, High Stakes 2, and
Underground
Whenever I try to run High Stakes 2, it instantly throws up a blue
screen, with the following
message:

A fatal exception 0d has occoured at 0300:0000fffc. The current
application will be terminated.

Interesting enough, I had Porsche Unleashed up and running fine
(minimal install), but
when I installed HS2, it somehow "contaminated" this installation, and
caused PU to
crash out in the excact same way! I've run the demo versions of PU and
HS2 with
*no problems* on this machine, so this really has me puzzled. My specs
are:

2.26 Ghz Pentium 4
256mb of ram (32mb shared)
S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR
DirectX 9.0
Windows 98 SP2

A Hoogle search on this problem turned up nothing, and I'm really
stumped! :\

After finaly getting the game to run, I had the same problem when I
went back to play it.
Deleting the Windows swap file and clearing the temporary directory
seems to have cleared it.
