Hi Jeff,
can you up a video of the drift in challenge series with the lamborghini in
which you're supposed to get more than 150.000?
I've been stuck for days there with no success.

I'm not great at these, but the trick is to get the multiplier
to x20 and keep it there. Even if you have to go slow, it's
better. Use the handbrake for just a slight swerver and you'll
start getting drift points. You have about 2 or 3 seconds of
no drift points before the multiplier reset, so do a slight
weave on the straigts to keep the drift points going and the
multiplier from resetting. Note, you can scrape walls without
endinging a drift.

I got 600k+ on the run in this video, using 1st gear a bit too
much but I was going for a clean run:

arun_rulezzz is really good at this. The Viper is the car to use
for drifting as it drifts at really high speeds. Arun gets just
over 350K points on this run at Gold Valley with a 20x multiplier
for a total over 7 million points.

Thanks! at last keeping the car in second gear (I use automatic) I was able
to pass the test and now I'm stuck with the one with 13 checkpoints :)

Use speedbreaker on the turns, this will help with both checkpoints and
with the AI races in general.

I use fraps (http://www.fraps.com) to capture the video in a huge avi file.
Then I use adobe premier pro to conver the avi file to a wmv file, but you
can you windows movie maker (included with xp) to do the same thing, or
go to http://www.doom9.org for other utilities.

Adobe premiere pro is expensive, but it lets me do multi-view videos like
this one from nfs4 - high stakes:
