I'm in the challenge after blakclist 6. I've completed all races, but I have
to get 2 milestones from a police chase by passing 2 spiked roadblocks. So
far so good accept I can't evade after completing the challenge! I've tried
several cars and am on the verge of giving up. Anybody any ideas?

I've been at it for more than 10 times :-(
Isn't there a preferable route to take?

Let's put it this way. The trick to evasion is knowing all the HIDING
SPOTS
BEFORE YOU NEED THEM (i.e. before they show up on the map). That means
a lot of scouting using low heat vehicles and getting police to chase
you, and evade
them, thus revealing more and more cool down spots.

Then, once you've reached your milestone, you need to locate some
pursuit
breakers to knock the cops off, and within 20 seconds or less, find one
of
the cooldown spots and pull in, assuming no cop survived the pursuit
breaker
and is STILL on your tail. You can check that by the pursuit meter in
the middle.

I'll just name a few places that are good to temporarily evade cops, and
has
pursuit breakers, and has safehouses you can pull into quickly. You'll
have to
explore the places and figure out how to best utilize each one yourself.

-- Baseball field -- there's a pursuit breaker at each of the two
entrances of the
stadium. If you hit one, you can probably peel off most of the pursuers.
And
there's a cooldown spot right inside the stadium garage/parking. Search
for
"How to do black edition challenge in 2 minutes" and you'll see that
demonstrated.

-- Football Stadium near downtown, with construction nearby. If you are
good
should should be able to keep the cops at bay by going in and out and
circle the
stadium constantly. If you manage to lose everybody, turn into the
underground
garage and there's a hiding spot right there.

-- Golf Course -- go offroad and through the golf course, then peel left
and
get into the park. You should run into the small cabin with the pursuit
breaker.
There's also a barn in the area for you to hide in. There's also a gully
to hide
in.

-- Italian town section -- in one of the curves, there's a small side
lot that
that can pull into after you peeled off the cops using a pursuit
breaker.

-- The small park with diamond pattern -- there's a hiding spot in the
park
off to one side. If you can peel off the pursuers you can pull in here
and
evade them.

There are dozens more spots, I'm not going to list every one. It's up to
you
to discover them.

Rosewood is the best place to do pursuits, as there are a lot of pursuit
breakers, lots of roads with alternate paths, and hiding spots.

I'd recommend statying on highway 99 / petersburg (it's the same road)
until you get the two spike strips, then exit to the right to head into
the Rosewood area. The highway also passes the stadium itself, but it's
best to reduce the number of pursuit cars before using it.

when the heat is on it's highest, the pursuit breakers don't seem to work.
Next time I'll try to lure more police cars in a pursuit breaker trapp. Ik
have to be carefull though because a few more busts and I start losing cars!

stupid AI, took over my car it seemed :-(
I was in the campus trying to reach the stadium, suddenly crashed into a
small wall and then my tires slipped on the gravel and again got BUSTED!
one more strike and my car'll get impounded (I'm getting rather attached to
my small fleet of cars).

just after having being busted, press the reset button of your computer.
the game has not recorded it yet, and then you restart before the last race.

How about just turning off Autosave? And re-load your profile if you
don't like the outcome of a particular race/pursuit? Of course you need
to remember to manually save your game (often).

so if I autosave and get a large fine, I can go one from the last save as if
nothing has happened? Perhaps that's a better idea.
Today I got busted because I got distracted by another civy car and ran over
some spikes!

Correct. With autosave disabled in "Options->Gameplay" NO information is
saved, unless you manually do so in your safehouse.

If you need to, just exit out of the career mode. Then instead of
choosing "resume career" pick "load" and you will revert to your
previous save point.

Cheating? Perhaps, but atleast in a way which the game allows and not by
some extra trickery.

I've just tried it. A problem is you have to get to the safehouse. Often
after a race you're chased by the police. Then it's not possible to save the
gained credits from the race.
Thanks for the tip about choosing load

True, you have to be "in the clear" to be able to save the game manually.

You mean it's saved right after you win the race so I could quit and not
have to bother with the police?? DAMN! I assumed that if you got busted you
"lost" the race you'd just won ;-(
